About Us

John Nethercott established the company in 1975. He and his wife Annie became partners in 1980. They head a small team of skilled craftsmen making and restoring woodwork to the highest standard. For larger projects and for other disciplines, such as wrought ironwork, they have access to others equally skilled.

In addition to the more traditional furniture designs he is noted for, John has developed an interest in designing one-off pieces of contemporary furniture.

The team’s long experience and sound understanding of traditional techniques has established it with an international reputation and involvement in many prestigious projects.

The company has been based at Upper House in Discoed since 1984.

For over thirty years we had a High Street presence – in Hereford and then in Ludlow, but now our showroom is at Upper House. Please ring for an appointment to visit.
